What has been most effective over time? Panelists discuss both the tools and the underlying policy objectives. Hear about incentives, such as surcharges, fees, tax reductions, and how they have been implemented. Speakers assess how they have fared in different locations. Learn what can be applied to your circumstance. All AICP members will receive 1.5 CM credits. Bring your own lunch and we will provide beverages and dessert.

Details ~ Christine Fillmore, Staff Attorney for the NH Local Government Center, will discuss the basics of RSA Chapter 91-A, NH’s Right to Know Law, including the law regarding public meetings and public records. This training will also address practical issues for running land use board meetings and the difference between meetings and hearings. If you have specific issues you would like to address, please let us know by Sept. 15.

Details ~ Participants will learn how to successfully read and interpret various elements of a site plan, including engineering terms and graphical symbols. NRPC staff will also provide tips and tools to markup plans, evaluate slopes and drainage, and more.
